This is our annual fundraising evening at WT Brews where your $10 admission includes a beverage and all proceeds help protect children from polio all over the world. Pre-register here and check in at our Rotary table inside WT's upon arrival to get your drink ticket. Each year this event has a different theme aligned with the areas of focus for Rotary Clubs around the world. Let's Be Green & End Polio Now
Join us in honor of World Polio Day to celebrate the progress of Rotary's eradication efforts, learn more about environmental project happening in our community, and enjoy music, food, and local brews. Doing good while having a great time!
We have many passions in Rotary, with service projects that range from local food insecurity to world peace. Each year when fundraising to eradicate polio, we share with you more about another Area of Focus for our members, while also bringing together other organizations and individuals working on the same cause here in Baldwinsville. This year our theme will be: Be Green to End Polio Now. In promoting our environmental work, upcoming projects, local garden groups, and resources, we hope you will get excited to learn more about what's happening in our own backyards!
This evening will include:
- Live music from Larry Kyle
- Connect with the Be Green team and B'ville Garden Club
- Vendors like Tara's Confections and Sun & Hive Honey
- Taste the global flavors of Moonchot’s Authentic Thai Cuisine
✔️Baldwinsville Rotary will be there with information about our polio eradication and environmental efforts, including a fun trivia.
💜 Get your pinky painted purple and learn what this means in places in the world where polio eradication is actively happening.
💸 Proceeds from this event go to Rotary International's Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which not only works towards complete eradication of this debilitating and deadly disease, but provides additional healthcare for places in the world without access otherwise.
Take Home A Beautiful Reminder
Pre-order a package of crocus bulbs that you can plant now in order to have beautiful, purple crocuses next spring - one of the first to bloom after a long winter. Great for our pollenators and for the soul! The purple flower can serve as a reminder of Rotary's commitment to eradicating polio, a symbol reminiscent of babies having their pinkies dyed purple to indicate they have been vaccinated.
Bulbs are 10 for $10 and we only have 180 packages available.
