Do you have a broken household item you would like fixed?
Don't throw it away- bring your broken item to us and let's give it a second life. We are partnering with Repair Cafe CNY to bring you Lysander's very first Repair Cafe! Our Repair Coaches can help you fix your item for free! This helps you to reduce waste, share skills, save money, and build community.
Join us at Lysander Town Park on April 25th, 2026, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm for an afternoon of repairing your beloved items for free! Our team of volunteer Repair Coaches ("fixers") will be on hand to help you fix things, from broken electronics to torn clothing.
This is a family friendly event, and all are welcome. Refreshments (coffee, tea, and snacks) will be provided.
Registration will open soon for this event. Be sure to register to secure your spot and let us know what you're planning to bring.
The rules for this event are as follows:
- Participants are limited to bring up to 2 broken items.
- Repairs are not guaranteed.
- All participants will be required to sign a waiver upon entry to the event.
- Replacement parts are limited, so bring them if you have them!
- PLEASE DO NOT BRING gas powered items, large appliances (fridges, automobiles, dishwashers), TVs/CRT monitors, or microwaves. No complex tech that requires soldering or hard-to-source part replacement (laptops). Do not bring anything with mold, pest damage, or biohazards.
