Jason has been the General Manager of the Syracuse Mets since 2014. He was born & raised in North Syracuse and is a graduate of Bishop Grimes Jr./Sr. High School. After high school, Jason attended the State University of NY at Fredonia and the United States Sports Academy (MS). Jason began working in baseball with the Watertown Indians in 1993; over the years he made stops in Batavia, Staten Island and Auburn. He worked for 10 years out of baseball with Hilti, Inc. before returning to the game in 2013 with the Syracuse Chiefs (now Mets).

When he is not at historic NBT Bank Stadium, Jason enjoys spending time with his family, fishing and cooking. It may surprise you to know that Jason was also a member of the 1992 Men's DII Rugby National Championship team, Battleship Rugby, from Mobile, AL. Jason appreciates most everything about Syracuse, but he especially loves the people, the change of seasons and the ability to get almost anywhere in 10-15 minutes.

The Center for Justice Innovation in Syracuse

Drawing on over a decade of experience in justice system reform, Leah provides training and technical assistance on a range of topics within the areas of juvenile justice, restorative justice, and community-led revitalization. Her work is with The Center for Justice Innovation in Syracuse. 

Peacemaking circles can be utilized in a variety of settings and situations. In this 50-min program, Leah will teach us about peacemaking circles and the work she does, then facilitate an actual peace circle with us.

Eric is passionate about his sport and eager to share tips and tricks to learning the game with you. Disc Golf is played like traditional golf but with disc golf discs instead of balls and clubs. One throw (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown and when a penalty is incurred. The goal is to play each hole in the fewest strokes possible. The player with the lowest total strokes for the entire course wins. The hole is completed when the disc comes to rest in a disc golf basket.

Linda Looomis has taught journalism and creative writing at SUNY Oswego, where she was a tenured professor and director of the journalism program. Prior to teaching, she had been an editor and reporter for the Brown Newspapers (The Liverpool Review) and editor of the OSWEGO Alumni Magazine. Her byline now appears on articles about music and the arts at Syracuse.com/The Post-Standard.
