Our Members

Meet Katie

Katie came to us after seeing our volunteers acting as Old Newsboys, hawking newspapers in exchange for donations to support the CNY Christmas Bureau, a service project we have done for more than a decade now. She stopped in to Dunkin that morning and was invited to visit a meeting, which is all it takes to get started on your Rotary journey. She became a member in 2017.
Katie is currently serving her second term is Club President, bringing a very thoughtful and purposeful approach to leading our large group. A retired school teacher, she is not shy about running a meeting and quickly identifies members' skills to know who to bring to the table, getting so many members involved during her tenure. She has been a leader with our Interact Club, which is our teen program at Baker High School, and serves on our membership committee. She is a big part of what makes our club so warm and welcoming!

Meet Nicole

Joining Rotary in 2023, Nicole had been following us on Instagram and felt like it was time for her to give back. She jumped right in to all the educational programs Rotary offers, attending Rotary Leadership Institute and completing courses in our online Learning Center that will no doubt help her professionally, but also acclimated her to our organization's values, mission, and opportunities.
She is currently serving as the chair of our largest service project - our Backpack Program. She oversees the donations, shopping, sorting, packing and delivery to ensure we provide nutrition for at-risk students throughout every school in our district every single week.
Nicole will also serve as our club's president starting July 2026, so she is going through the many learning programs designed for club leaders. We are excited to have her at the helm!

Meet Nate

Nate is one of our newer members, joining soon after moving into our quaint village in 2025. He is a Branch and Community Development Manager for Community Bank, so Rotary is a great way for him to establish a big network of genuine connections. In addition to professional connections, Nate is passionate about Rotary's literacy and basic education initiatives and just wants to meet more of his neighbors. He has jumped right in to volunteer on many projects including our Earth Day cleanup, Seneca River Days, and Big Chill. He is also co-chairing the return of our Pizza for Pantries program in February 2026. We are so glad to have him in our club!

Joining is easy!

  1. Visit a meeting or event
  2. Chat with a club leader
  3. Submit your application
  4. Join!
There is no one way to join Rotary. Some people jump right in and some like to take their time. We truly welcome you at your own pace!
We do ask that all new member applicants attend at least two club events and have a one-on-one conversation with someone from our leadership team before submitting their application. This will help you understand what it means to be a member, and help us to get you engaged in activities you will find fun and rewarding.

It all starts with a visit to a club event so you can meet fellow members and we can meet you. Every meeting includes an opportunity to share so we get to know each other and catch up with one another. We also have social events and service projects where we can volunteer together while getting to know one another.
Check out the Calendar tab for our current schedule.
We continue to offer hybrid meetings that you can attend in person or on zoom!

After your visit, someone will reach out to see what questions you have and ensure you are invited to all future meetings through our weekly emails.

Once you are ready, you can download the membership application
Instructions for submission are on the form.
