Soup 'n Snowshoe

Bring the whole family for our annual outing to Beaver Lake Nature Center for some winter fun and fellowship.
Starting at 11am we will hike around the park trails - in snowshoes if there's snow or sneakers if there isn't. All weather permitting!
Starting at 12pm we will meet up inside the nature center for our lunch.
Bring a crockpot with your favorite soup inside (or chili, or chowder, or mac and cheese, etc.).
(Come a little early to drop off and plug in your crockpot before the hike or, if you don't hike, feel free to come a little before noon to plug in for lunch!)

We'll try everyone's soups and vote for our favorites, for a little friendly competition!

This year, we will welcome Youth Exchange students from around the district as they spend a weekend together in Baldwinsville.
We will also be ordering some pizza for lunch, just so there is enough food to go around!

It is $5/car to exit the park, so please bring cash!
The nature center also rents snowshoes for $5/hour or you can bring your own!
 

Please keep in mind those of us with food allergies or intolerances, or those with special diets.
For example, consider thickening your soup with cornstarch instead of flour to keep it gluten free.
Be prepared to label your dish as gluten free, lactose free, vegan or vegetarian so our friends and family can know what's safe for them to eat!
